The Dog, the myth, the legend

In December of 2004, we broke down and got a dog. We went around for at least a month about her name. Ethan was really angry because we got a female dog which made the male to female ratio uneven in our household. He kept wanting to to call the dog a masculine name. Eventually, we named her Shayla, Nemo, Geoffrey B------. However, because we waited so long to name her, she does not answer to any of those names. In the interim of the name search, she was only called pooch. Where having a dog named Pooch is not too bad(just unimaginative), we unwittingly corrupted the name by changing it slightly using baby talk. She was such a cute puppy and it was so easy to talk baby talk to her. Unfortunately, she now only answers to Pootz. I cannot tell you how many dirty looks I have gotten from vets, groomers, animal lovers, and the Petsmart people.

She is shown in this picture with her little McDonald's toy puppy who looks a lot like her. This toy puppy came with a tag sewed to its bottom. She carefully chewed off the tag off of her puppy.

The beard

My son has been grooming his beard for several years now. However, he is only 9. So what kind of a beard can a 9 year old grow? The little guy has a small mole on his chin with a few fine blond hairs. Neither are noticeable unless you get really close, but it makes him feel like he is special. I think that it is cute as he stokes his chin. He will probably hate me if he ever reads this. Sorry in advance buddy.
